Get BookWit.

The iPhone beta is free and open now. The App Store version is on its way.

The iPhone beta

Install the real app today. Beta builds update themselves with one tap.

  1. On your iPhone, open app.bookwit.net/beta in Safari.
  2. Register your iPhone. A small settings profile sends us its ID so the next build can install on it.
  3. Come back to the page and tap Install once your iPhone is in a build.
  4. The first time only, turn on Developer Mode in Settings, Privacy & Security. The page shows you how.

Needs iOS 26 or later. Under 13? Ask a parent to help you set it up.

The App Store waitlist

For anyone who'd rather wait for the App Store, or isn't on iPhone yet. We'll send one email at launch, and nothing else. Adults only; students, ask a parent.

Android isn't available yet. Join the list and we'll tell you when there's news.

Reading with your school?

Install BookWit, then scan the poster in your classroom with the iPhone camera. You'll land in your homeroom.

No poster? Enter your homeroom's code on the Today screen. Teachers and principals can set up a school here.

Questions

Why isn't it in the App Store yet?

BookWit is in beta while we finish it with our first readers and schools. The waitlist is how you'll hear when it's there.

Why do I need Developer Mode?

Beta builds are installed directly from our site instead of the App Store, and iPhones only allow that with Developer Mode on. It only lets the iPhone run apps like this beta, and you can turn it off again once BookWit is in the App Store.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. Join the waitlist and pick the role that fits; we'll email you when there's news.

Does it cost anything?

The beta is free. Starting a school is free.
